In another initiative to push abortion, the Biden administration has directed $750,000 in funds to the Guttmacher Institute, the former research arm and “special affiliate” of the nation’s largest abortion business, Planned Parenthood. 

The Department of Health and Human Services has announced a $6 million total initiative to bolster research into abortion and family planning. The grants and guidelines were announced at a meeting of the Biden administration’s reproductive task force, following through on the Administration’s promises to promote and increase access to abortion. 

The nearly $1 million in taxpayer funds comes from Congress’ recent COVID spending, justified by the Biden administration due to the claim that the abortion industry experienced  “service disruptions due to the Covid-19 pandemic and shifting policies and priorities,” The Federalist reports. 

In its grant description, the Guttmacher Institute pledged to use the funds to find ways of advance its pro-abortion agenda. “This work will result in data and findings readily available for policy makers, clinical providers, and program planners to leverage when designing programs and policies to increase equitable access, especially for those most in need of publicly funded [sexual reproductive health] services,” the Guttmacher Institute’s grant says, as reported by The Federalist.

The grant comes on the heels of a Guttmacher Institute report that found, in the 100 days since Roe v. Wade was overturned as of October 2, at least 66 abortion facilities across 15 states have stopped committing abortions. With the new grant money, Planned Parenthood’s research arm will be able to analyze data and methods that can stem the losses and support the abortion giant’s bottom line. 

“They will tell you that many of the pregnant women in these states will just go to a clinic in a neighboring state to have their abortions. Some will. But something they aren’t anxious to admit may be way more important — with the abortion clinic closed in their home state, many women will change their minds about seeking abortion and will choose to let their babies live,” said Dr. Randall K. O’Bannon, NRL Director of Education & Research, according to NRL News.

In the aftermath of Dobbs v. Jackson, the Biden administration has committed to pro-abortion activism and is employing federal agencies to challenge, roll back, and get around state pro-life laws. Shortly after the landmark Supreme Court decision, President Biden issued an executive order designed to expand the abortion pill; create an interagency task force to promote more abortion; provide increased incentives for federal employees, military members, and veterans to obtain abortions; and provide millions of dollars in federal grants to family planning groups. The president also marked Women’s Equality Day with a speech lamenting the Dobbs v. Jackson decision and issued a flurry of initiatives led by the Department of Health and Human Services to push abortion.
